Vancouver Photos of the Week

There’s a phenomenon during a string of rainy days that my husband calls the “Afternoon Clearing”. While the forecast calls for showers, downpours, and drizzles for days on end, there’s usually a moment in the day when the faucets turns off. The clouds part, and we get a brief reprieve, a glimpse of daylight, or a spectacular sunset. All of the rain that soaked us until that point seems worth it for that fleeting period of time when the overly quenched region is bathed in light.
