I can’t believe it’s already been five years since the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games! If you would like to relive the excitement and pride of February 2010 in February 2015, there are two events you can attend:
Vancouver 2010 Winter Games Legacy Celebration
Celebrate and commemorate the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in the former Olympic and Paralympic Athletes Village. This is an all ages event that will feature a play back of Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Events, games and craft stations for children and much more. It is free to attend, all ages are welcome, and no pre-registration is required. Stop in anytime on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Creekside Community Recreation Centre, 1 Athletes Way.
5th Anniversary of the Olympics in Vancouver
Join festivities at Vancouver Convention Centre, West with presentations from John Furlong OC, OBC, CEO of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as Senator Nancy Greene Raine OC, OBC, OD, gold medal winning alpine skier and Canada’s Female Athlete of the 20th Century.
There will be a children’s choir performance, as well as a raffle to benefit Kid Sport. Everyone is encouraged to wear their Team Canada Olympic gear to the event between 7:00am and 9:30am on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Presented by the Canadian Club of Vancouver. Admission is Member $60, Non-Member $70.
