Scala & Kolacny Brothers in Vancouver
byScala & Kolacny Brothers are coming to Vancouver April 7th to play the Commodore Ballroom. The hauntingly beautiful choir does unusual covers, mostly of rock songs from artists like Nirvana, Kings of Leon, Metallica, and Radiohead. Their cover of “Creep” was featured in the trailer for The Social Network.
Tickets are currently available for $25 plus fees. I have also partnered with Live Nation to offer up 2 free tickets to the show, a CD, and a ‘meet and greet‘ with the performers. There are two ways that you can enter to win:
I entered to win tickets & a chance to meet Scala & Kolacny Brothers from @livenationwest & @Miss604 http://ow.ly/4jWT2
One winner will be drawn at random from all entries next Tuesday, March 29th at 3:00pm. Must be 19+ to enter and win as this is not at an all-ages venue.
Update The winner of the tickets and the meet n’ greet is Karen!

Amazing! I’m enjoying the cover of Creep by Radiohead.
Omg I need to win this! Been a fan of them way before The Social Network came out. They’re so haunting and good. It’s a good kind of scary.
Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine recorded a cover of “Down with the Sickness”. It’s an aptly named cheesy cover of the song that was featured in the remake of the movie Dawn of the Dead.
Loving their version of Radiohead’s Fake Plastic Trees actually.
SCALAS NEW ALBUM “PAPER PLANE”
My favorite is ‘Creep’.
So cool! Their version of Material Girl by Madonna rocked!

U2 – With or Without You was beautiful.

Creep is obviously great, but Material Girl was better!
With or Without You!
Yeah, With or Without You is the best!!!!!!
Their cover of the Knife’s “Heartbeats” got me hooked — the original is so good it was honoured with a cover the same year it was released.
