Immersion at Vancouver Aquarium

Even though it’s spring break and the children will be flocking to local attractions, the Vancouver Aquarium is hosting an event this Friday just for the big kids. Immersion is an exclusive late-night event filled with music, entertainment, and cocktails inside one of the city’s most interesting venues.

From 8:00pm until 12:00am on March 25th attendees will get access to the shark penthouse, have their tarot cards read, listen to the music of DJ Emiko, have hands-on experiences with sea life in the ‘Wet Lab’, check out the Aquarium’s 4D shows, and enjoy complimentary canapes. A cash bar will also be open on-site. Tickets are $30 for non-members and $24 for members.

      Sharks are by far my favourite sea creature. They have such a bad rep, though when educated on the beautiful fish it is easy to see why they are so fascinating. Don’t let all the horror stories scare you 🙂

      Although i used to be terrified when I encountered jellyfish on the shores of Saudi beaches – I would have to say jellyfish are absolutely magical to stare at.

      I used to volunteer at the aquarium and my favourite animal there was the giant pacific octopus. It was totally mezmerizing when it used to come out and display all of its suction pads against the window!
