Robyn Michelle-Lee Photography
byVancouver is very fortunate to have so many fantastic photographers covering events, being artistic, and hosting memorable sessions in private studios or at large. One of such talented individuals is Robyn Michelle-Lee Photography. While I only know Robyn so far from the online realm, we have common friends over at Nordica.
Robyn – who specializes in lifestyle, wedding, and engagement shoots – approached me to offer up a complimentary session to one lucky Miss604 reader. Here is what would be included in the photo-shoot:
You can use this prize yourself if you are engaged, or gift this to a friend or family member that will be getting married.
Robyn’s style is simple, elegant, and captures those precious candid moments between two people who are very much in love. Over the last few years I really began to understand the true value of working with a professional photographer. There is ease, comfort, and the shots are always amazing (or much more so than anything you could take yourself).
To enter to win, please leave a comment on this post about how you would use this gift (or to whom you would give this prize). I’m a closet romantic (except for those rare occasion where I post mush about how much I love my husband on Twitter) so I’m looking forward to reading the entries. You can also enter to win by posting the following on Twitter:
I will draw one winner next Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 12:00pm. Follow Robyn’s blog, Robyn on Facebook, or Twitter for updates and information from the world of engagement photography in Vancouver. Robyn is currently accepting bookings for 2011 and also offers wedding, baby, and couples photography.
Update The winner is Elle – congratulations!

I love picture of couples in different Vancouver location. I’ve been married for 8 years now, we have beautiful pictures of our wedding but not the likes that they take now. I will use this gift for my husband and I to capture the time, now that we have two beautiful children. And maybe create more romance in our lives, maybe a little romantic dinner after photo shoot:)
My fiancee and I (*just* engaged!) are avid photographers. Looking through our albums, we’ve got lots of photos of “him” and photos of “her”, but ironically, no photos of “us”. Wouldn’t it be awesome to premier beautiful photos of “us” to our family and friends when we officially announce our engagement?
My very good friend is getting married this year and is doing it on a budget. I know she’d never spring for this herself so I’d love to be able to gift it to her.
I have a couple of friends who could use this!
i got engaged last christmas and we are planning to get married spring 2012.
we (and by we i mean i) were just saying how nice it would be to have some nice pictures of the two of us!
I would love to gift this to my husband for our anniversary!
I would love to win this package for two close friends who recently got engaged. They do not have the funds to buy a package like this, so it would be great gift to give them. Thanks!
This would be perfect! My fiancé and I r getting married in July and we were thinking about some spring pictures to celebrate our recent engagement 🙂
Ed and I got engaged in mid-2010. He was unable to make it to Vancouver for the Olympics and we don’t have many pictures of us showing our Vancouver Pride together. It would be a great prize to win for us!! 🙂
Our story begins 36 years ago when I was 13, and my boyfriend was 15. We were young, and very much in love. But our parents had other ideas, and when my family went to England for a 6 week holiday, nobody told me that we were actually moving back there for good. So, our goodbye’s at the airport were happy in the thoughts that in 6 weeks we would be together again. Little did I know that his letters to me would be intercepted and destroyed by my parents, and that my letters to him never ever made to the mailbox either. Heartbroken at never hearing from each other we both got on with our lives.
Well, 35 years later, I found him again thanks to the internet. By this time, I was back living in Canada, and both being single again, decided it would be great fun to meet and chat about old times. They say that sometimes your first love really is the love of your life, and the moment we sat down together and looked into each others eyes, we realized that we would be together forever. when Joe finally asked me what took me so long to find him, all I could say was that “My plane was delayed”
Well, now we are engaged, and planning a Spring wedding in Vancouver, so needless to say it would be absolutely wonderful to win this photo session. ♥
WEDDING IN JUNE! Perfect timing!
What a great prize!!
If I win I’ll give this prize to my BFF. She and her fiance are one of those “Urban Myths” come true — they met at a club 5 years ago! Whenever people say you don’t meet your true love at the club, I tend to agree, but my BFF is the exception.
I have a friend who’s getting married on the island early next year. They’re both romantics and have been together for many years.
What an amazing gift that would make!
I’ve been following Robin’s blog for a while & would be thrilled to win this! Ekkk. I would use this for a close girlfriend and her fiance. We moved to a new place recently and they became quick friends of ours… we share a love of little ones, food, and games. 🙂 *fingers crossed*
I’m getting married in August and this would be fantastic! Young, Modern non traditional photos all the way!
Family photos for framing – love it!!
I would absolutely love to have an engagement photo session. We just got engaged in December and are looking forward to creating a wedding website and having the photos from our engagement shoot will be a great part of that.
I am really excited about the opportunity to have such a talented photographer document the love that my fiance and I have for each other. Her photographs are stunning and we would be thrilled to work with her.
Thanks, Katie
We just got engaged over the holidays. We are looking at photographers for our wedding and Robyn’s work is great. It would be great to have the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with Robyn!
I would give this to my friend who will be getting married next month even though she is in her early 20s. Unfortunately, her grandmother was recently diagnosed with cancer and isn’t doing too well, so she wants to make her grandmother happy by getting married.
I would love this!! Just got engaged! Robyn would be perfect!
nice present for my husband on our upcoming anniv. . .our love story is very undescribable. .space is not enough. .i’l tell it later to u miss604 & robyn.
Having just proposed to my then-girlfriend, now fiance just last month, the timing of this contest could not be any better. We’re already stressed out about all the details, so having some good engagement photos done would certainly help. I am a hopeless romantic at heart, after all.
I would give this to my friends that just got recently engaged. It would make a great wedding present.
My good friends are getting married this summer… this would be a great gift for them!
My fiancee and I just got engaged in December and we would love to have this opportunity to take engagement photos because we are very low on money. This would make a great gift to us 🙂
I’d love to give this to my younger brother & his fiancee who just got engaged last week. I’m pretty sure they don’t have a budget to include an engagement session, and would love to surprise them with this! They definitely deserve something so special!
I would love to use this for my new fiancee and myself. We just resently got engaged after a very long wait and do not have the money to do photographs of the engagement as I am a full time student working towards being a teacher.
My dearest friends are getting married this year and this would be a perfect pre-wedding gift!
Robyn and I are getting married in 3 months. We never did get an engagement sessions done, so I’ll enter us into this one!
I’ve taken up photography myself recently and would love to win this for my sister who is getting married this summer.
Wedding in August 2011! Crossing my fingers 🙂
I would love to use this for us. We love good photography and sadly we can’t take pictures and be in it. So it will be real nice to have someone capture us.
I’ve been engaged for while so this may by the ‘extra’ push to get us going. Love the simple yet elegant style of this photographer. This would be a beautiful Valentine’s gift for my fiancee and I! 🙂
I’ve been married for a year and a half but when we got out engagement and wedding photos I never particularly loved them. Husband really didn’t like our wedding photos. We were married in Saskatoon and a week after we got married we moved to the Lower Mainland. We love it here, and BC represents this new stage in our lives. I wish we could have some couple shots that include the scenery of this beautiful province.
We still get excited when we hear it’s is -30 in Saskatoon. Ha Ha!
I would give this to my hubby for Valentine’s Day…he loves having photos of us, he often talks about how important it is to him. I would probably suggest that we go to Minnekhada Lodge where we got married, 3 years ago, and get some updated photos done there. It was such a beautiful location, and the gardens were so lovely…
I’d get some good pics done of my gf and i at the beach to send to her parents and to give to mine! thanks!
My dad is a pro photographer in Moncton, NB. When my fiancee and I got engaged we were dissapointed that we weren’t able to get photos done! I would love to give my dad a pic of us seeing as how we won’t see him before the wedding.
It would also be good for him to see how lovely these new ways of taking photos are, he’s kind of old fashioned!
Getting married in June and we didn’t budget for an e-session. This would be nice present for the both of us!
Getting married in August. This would be so wonderful for me and my fiance!
I’m getting married in August and this would be great for our engagement photo session! Thanks.
Hello Miss 604, I too am a closet romantic. I work construction, Amber works in HR and I will do my best to paint a little picture us. My name is Chris, my girlfriends name is Amber, and her dog’s name is Chubby (it came from her roommate poking fun at how thin he was when Amber got him from the shelter). Chubby was the alpha male (her words) in Ambers life for a long time so it took some time for him get warm up to the idea of me being around. The melting point was on a surf trip to one of Ambers favorite places (tofino), Chubby and I bonded after a run turned into doing the dog paddle together in the surf on a chilly fall day when the tide came in. Since then we have been great friends (chubby and I).
Amber has had Chubby almost ten years and as Amber and I came in to each other’s lives Chubby started to show his signs of aging pretty suddenly. He might have a year left, he might not. I know how important he has been for her and how hard it will be when he passes. Amber and I have fallen in love and grown close with Chubby always wanting in on whatever we do. If we are snuggling up to watch a movie, Chbby wants in between us and he is a decent sized Labrador so you can imagine the scene is pretty funny. If we were selected for the photo shoot I would like it to be with the three of us. Amber’s birthday is coming up so this would be a great surprise gift to go along with the night of stargazing(here’s hoping for a clear night) I have planned.
Thank You,
Chris
I would gift this to my dear friends, he being a gifted photographer who tirelessly lends his creative eye to capture special moments for friends, and she, a powerhouse in tiny female form on her own, who is his best “photo lighting lamp post/model stand-in”
After 8 years together since gr.12 (and having known each other since 3rd grade!), we finally got engaged! We’d always sort of planned that we’d get engaged after I finished school. Well, he decided to ignore that plan and asked me to marry him last year (on the day Canada got its first gold during the Olympics & it was Valentine’s too) because he couldn’t wait (and I’ll be finishing school this April). Since we’re paying for everything on our own, we won’t be heading down the aisle until next year so we’d love to win this photo session so we can create invites that are uniquely ‘us’.
Thanks so much for the opportunity! 🙂
Great casual photos in a beautiful setting.
Well, I’m not engaged, but my boyfriend and I have been together for almost four years now. For all intents and purposes, we might as well be engaged or even married.
The way we met isn’t anything exciting or Hollywood film-worthy-we met through mutual friends at a party at my place-but our story so far is certainly one that I am in love with.
I love him so much it hurts (mushy romance!) and our love is the most important thing in my life, and always will be.
My favourite thing about us is our shared sense of silly and wholly inappropriate humour. I would love to see that captured in Robyn’s photography. What an incredible gift that would be.
A good friend is getting married in May – and they are doing the wedding themselves. Something like this would be FAR beyond what they are planning on. I’d love to surprise them with this!!!
I have great friends who are engaged. They would love this surprise. I would love to see photos from the shoot.
My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding aniversary July 2010
I will give it to my fiancée
Would be a fantastic gift for my girlfriend’s birthday!
this would be really great for my boyfriend and I. thank you for yet another wonderful contest and prize !
I would love to use this for husband and i! We have yet to take ANY photos of that calibre. Its sad 🙁
Id love to surprise my gf with this!
Id give it to my nephew!! They’re gonna get married soon!
Hi! My twin sister, Erika, just got engaged Christmas Eve.
She has been dating her Fiance for 10 years!!
They are having a pretty low set budget wedding, and I know she would love this as a gift!!
i’ve actually got three weddings to go to this year: 2 are my good friends’ and the other one is my cousin’s. it would be a bit of a toughie to pick who to give it to but i guess i can decide on that when i win it! =D
I would give this to my friends who are getting engaged this year.
12.31.2010 is the day my boyfriend of 8 years and I got engaged!!! We’ve been through a lot together and we’re very excited that we’re finally getting married and starting a family together! We are in the midst of looking for the perfect photographer to capture this precious time of our lives and I found this!! We would be blessed if we have the opportunity to work with Robyn! 🙂
i just had my 4 yr anniversary and would love photos of us in and around vancouver. it would be a nice memento to mark it!
i’d give to my cousin. he’s getting married in July|!
This would be great for us.
We’re engaged, excited and would love to have an engagement shoot to capture all the emotions we’re feeling. Getting married in 6 months and this would be a fun addition to all the crazy planning!
My fiance and I got engaged last April in the quiet of our home after an episode of my favourite sitcom. We have been quietly planning our destination wedding which will take place on April 7th, 2011 in sunny Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. The last year of our life has been filled with amazing memories but also tradgedy. We haven’t been able to get engagement photos done due to all of life’s challenges happening around us. Our best friends lost a child. My mother-in-law to be was diagnosed with cancer. Life has truly happened in the last year to us.
We are getting married soon with no momento of our big engagement moment, nor do we know if my future mother-in-law and father-in-law will even be able to attend our wedding. This would be an amazing gift for my fiances family especially for their upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. We will be getting married on the same day as them, only 50 years later.
I would love this gift to give to them.
We just got engaged and I love being behind the camera, therefor we have lots of my fiance. I would love to surprise her with the gift of a engagement shoot, since the only other time I was able to surprise her was the moment I proposed.
Last summer I proposed to my fiance in Whistler. Unfortunately, due to my disability, I’m unable to use a camera so most of the pictures from that day are of me. Would love to be able to get some pictures of her and the two of us together. Thanks!
I would love to give this to my parents! It’s so great to see them in love even after all these years and I know that if I can be as half as happy as they are then I will be so lucky!!!
I would use this for me and my fiance, this would be wonderful 🙂
This would be a great gift for my younger brother-in-law and his fiancee. They’re getting married in August and with their super busy schedules (work and school), this would be a nice treat.
Beautiful!
