Dine Out Vancouver 2011: Seasons in QE Park & The Teahouse at Stanley Park

Comments 287 by Rebecca Bollwitt

Dine Out Vancouver 2011 kicks off in exactly one week offering prix-fixe, 3-course menus at over a hundred restaurants around Vancouver. For $18, $28, or $38 you can sip, sample, and savour selections at your favourite establishments, or explore something new. As a warm-up for the event, that only lasts until February 6th, I have a special preview offer courtesy of two participating restaurants:

Seasons in QE Park
SalmonWebsite, Twitter, My Post
Dine out offering: $28
Appetizer: Seafood Chowder or Winter Greens Salad
Main: Prosciutto Wrapped Free Range Chicken or Grilled Steelhead Salmon or Wild Mushroom Ravioli
Dessert: Double Belgian Chocolate Truffle & Fudge Cake

The Teahouse in Stanley Park
The Teahouse Restaurant - Stanley ParkWebsite, Twitter, My Post
Dine out offering: $28
Appetizer: Pickled Beet Salad or Carrot Soup or Teahouse Stuffed Mushrooms
Main: Duck Leg Confit or BC Salmon or Spaghetti Bolognese
Dessert: Decadent Petit Fours

I have been fortunate to dine at each of these establishments which have some of the best (and most romantic) atmospheres in the city. From being nestled amongst giant red cedars at The Teahouse in Stanley Park, to having a panoramic view of the glass towers of downtown and their snow-capped mountain backdrop at Seasons.

If you would like to check out these two restaurants for yourself this spring or summer, I have two $100 gift cards (one for each) to give away. Here’s how you can enter to win:

  • Leave a comment on this post stating if you would like to visit Seasons or The Teahouse, or both (1 entry)
  • Post the following on Twitter (1 entry)
  • RT to enter to win $200 in gift cards for @SeasonsinQEPark & @The_Teahouse from @Miss604 http://ow.ly/3FdL4

    232. HollyFriday, January 21st, 2011 — 10:31am PST

Seasons is such a special place for me. Though I’ve lived in Vancouver forever, I hadn’t been there until my first “big” date with my boyfriend in 2006.

Fast forward two years and we were looking for a place for a wedding reception. It was an easy choice. The food and service were fantastic and the wedding cake they made us was absolutely to die for. My biggest regret was that I only had one piece.

Seasons is a place we go to celebrate — new jobs, first homes, our engagement. But now that we live nearby we often walk over later in the evening and sit on the patio, watch the city, drink a glass of wine and talk about life.

Even without winning, we’re lucky to have Seasons. I guess if we got a free dinner — we’d find something special to celebrate.

    233. Holli YeohFriday, January 21st, 2011 — 10:43am PST

I would love to dine out at seasons, I am pro-oceanwise and often support restaurants because of their oceanwise status, have never been to either restaurant an would love a free meal at either one. Thanks!

I have very fond memories of both Teahouse and Seasons In the Park, whenever my parents would visit, they were the 2 restaurants I would take them for dinner. I havent been back since the last dinner at Seasons before my father passed away. Many memories of both….would love to visit both again soon

Visited Seasons about a month ago, it was great, not too expensive either (as a student, that means a lot!), definitely will visit again.

Will be going to Teahouse for this years dineout, hopefully it will as pleasant as my experience with Seasons!
