My lunch hour yoga classes at work are a must for me. Otherwise it’s ballroom/latin dancing and the occassional jog and trip to the gym to keep in shape!
The seawall. The seawall. The seawall. It is pricey to live here. I figure I’m paying rent on the seawall so I should use it every chance I get. Plus, you forget about the cost of living when you round the seawall and see the frosted North Shore mountains.
I run and swim! And this year, one of my new year’s resolutions is to run a half marathon. So this prize would come in handy!
jogging, training for the Sun Run each year
As a typical Van girl, I’ve done the gym thing, the yoga thing and the hiking thing..and love them all. However, the easiest and most versatile way that I stay active in Vancouver is “urban hiking.” At any time and in almost any place in the city, I can slip on my runners, hook up my iPod, let off some steam and get some fresh air by what is a fancy term for power walking!! (but without the funny arm movements!)
I’ve started doing a bootcamp, but after my current classes run out I think I’m just going to suck it up and run in the rain!
Where else in the world can you golf, wind surf and snow ski all on the same day. There is no other place for outdoor activities.
I bike to work most days (over 20km each day!), which is fantastic exercise.
Plus, the family usually goes for a walk each weeknight to catch up on what’s happening. Rain or not!
I’ve become a runner again. And always been a bike rider.
Running rain or shine or snow!
Running outside and inside chasing my toddlers
I like to play tennis and walk around to stay active.
Well living in Tofino and being on Island time is tough…Love to Stretch, Enjoy a Walk and Tea on Wickinninsh Beach, Hiking in the Rain Rainforest, and Surf it up all Summer Long!!
During the summer, I try to do EVERYthing outdoors, but when it’s raining cats and dogs I like to go to the gym or play indoor sports.
I try my best to jog/run whenever the weather is decent out. I also work out to my “Get Ripped” dvds at home.
Yoga & walking.
Taking my dog for walks in the park or running after my 16 month old little monster!!

Running after the bus, going up and down the stairs, washing my clothes by hand, vacuuming and sweeping the floor count as exercise as well.

How I play. I help coach Sr High basketball with my dad, and to help the girls get intensity I get to run through plays with them and help the JV girls with their shot, and driving to the hoop. I also play volleyball, just kind of rec coed thing, so much fun, just a whole bunch of friends that get together who love playing that sport. I also play rugby, both for club and the provincial team, by far rugby is my favorite sport because you can have a competitive game against a great rival, and get a little heated on the field but after just hang out like you are the best of friends. I also enjoy playing in the snow, sledding, skating, knee boarding, swimming for fun, squash, racket ball, and last running around with my niece’s and nephew
