The Vancouver Giants are featuring a “Celebrity Dash for Cash” at this Friday’s game where local personalities will be able to raise funds for their favourite causes. In the spirit of this event, the Vancouver Giants have offered one of my readers a pair of tickets to the game while I have come up with a different contest this time around.

The Union Gospel Mission supports thousands of individuals each year in one of the country’s most down-trodden neighbourhoods. From community meals to family support, affordable housing, recovery, education and employment, their services are a vital part of the community and our city. The UGM’s holiday meal campaign is currently underway and for a donation of $3.29 you can ensure that one person gets a warm meal this season.

To enter to win the Vancouver Giants tickets, I’m asking my readers to donate a minimum of $3.29 to the Union Gospel Mission (via this certified donation page). One meal in exchange for the chance at Vancouver Giants tickets.

Although I am running this campaign independently, all funds go directly to the Union Gospel Mission who will use these donations for their Christmas campaign. When a donation is received, the UGM and I will receive a notification email (so please be sure to use a valid email address for the contest draw). You may donate as much as you like ($32.90 will feed a table of ten) however a minimum of $3.29 is the basic requirement. The Union Gospel Mission is a registered Canadian charity so you may also be able to get a tax receipt.

I will draw a winner from the list of received donations on Thursday, November 18th at 9:00am. Thank you in advance for your support this season.

Update The winner is Michael Kwan – have fun at the game and thank you for your support!
