This weekend CBC’s Hyundai Hockey Nation will host a series of clinics at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver and in Langley. Aimed teaching tips, tricks, and skill development, these programs pair children from local hockey teams with NHL veterans and Stanley Cup champions. Stops on the tour so far include Vancouver this weekend, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Halifax.
On Thursday December 2nd from 3:30pm until 5:30pm there is a spot in one of the clinics for two Miss604 readers to work with Ron Davidson (a member of Canada’s hockey team at the 1980 Olympic Games, author of Play Better Hockey), Ken Hitchcock (Olympic Gold Coach and Stanley Cup winner) and Craig Simpson (Hockey Night in Canada Analyst and Stanley Cup winner).
The other clinics in Langley over the weekend are sold out so this is the last opportunity to partake in this once in a lifetime experience on the ice at the Coliseum.
If you know a boy or girl who is 8-11 years old and loves to play hockey, please leave a comment below to enter to win a spot for them at the clinic. Tomorrow morning at 9:00am I will draw two winners who can each attend with their parents on Thursday.
Update The winners are Jill and
Arthur Scott – I hope the kids have a great time!
