Vancouver Giants Date Night 2010
byThe Vancouver Giants have been brewing up some very special events and giveaways for their 10th anniversary season. The next theme night is “Date Night” on Friday October 22nd when the Giants will take on the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Date Night offer includes two tickets to the game for $25. All fans in attendance will also have a chance to win a trip for two to Hawaii. To book your Date Night tickets use promo code: ALOHA on Ticketmaster.
I have a pair of tickets to give away to a reader so that they can enjoy Date Night (and get entered to win the trip to Hawaii). There are two ways to enter to win tickets:
I will draw one winner at random from all entries on Monday, October 18th at 12:00pm.
Update The winner is Jason – have fun at the game!

Just call me old fashioned. Dinner somewhere nice and walking along the beach 🙂
My “ideal date night” would be Giant’s hockey, a few beers and whole bunch of chicken wings.
my daughter wants me to take her..
this would be great!
Nothing beats going to a hockey game as the perfect for date night, way more exciting than watching a game on TV!
Perfect date night would definately be going to a hockey game with the gf followed by lounging home by the fireplace with some wine!
Ideal Date Night (in the fall) involves something outdoorsy like a hike followed by dinner out, a fun activity (like a giants game!) and ending with a wood fire to keep us cozy and out of the rain.
My ideal date night… hmmmm…. I think I’d have to say a nice dinner and drinks downtown, followed by a GIANTS GAME! 😀
Ideal date night: 1. dinner cooked by my boyfriend 2. a fabulous and exciting giants game! 3. Drinks/desert in Gastown!
My wife and I are “back to dating” again, as we have just become empty nesters. We are both big hockey fans and this would be a great way to kick the romance in gear again.
As winter quickly approaches, a perfect date would include mittens, scarves, a movie at the cinema, and dinner from a street vendor.
I wanna win a date with my boy! 🙂
An ideal date night would be going out for a nice dinner, then to the game, then somewhere quiet for a drink and a nice view!
Anywhere with my fiance is a great date! But a dinner at Sandbar then a walk on the seawall is always great.
As a parent of a 3 year old boy, I have sadly forgotten what “date night” is like. My husband and I rarely go on dates! But a Giants game sounds like a great date night to me. Maybe some dinner before the game, a few drinks the giants game, and a quiet night @ home!
One of the best summer date-night options in the Lower Mainland is a row-boat picnic on Deer Lake (in Deer Lake Park in Burnaby). They have on-site boat rentals. Go for the row boat (much more romantic than kayak or peddle boat) and impress your date with your rowing skills. Alternatively, she’ll die laughing at your lack of seamanship. Add in a picnic basket full of goodies (preferably not from Tim Horton’s), a little wine/champagne (is that legal?) and you’ve got yourself an awesome date night/afternoon. A beautiful lake in a gorgeous park. Highly recommended. Call me ;).
Probably just hanging out without having to get all formal and stuff.
it’s been so long since I’ve had a date that I can’t really remember…
Anything that involves my boyfriend and laughing and having a good time.
Best date night: a night out dancing or a hockey game…but a homecooked dinner and some wine followed by a night of Wii gaming sounds pretty fun too!
The best date night would be *playing* a game of hockey!
Burgers, beer and a hockey game would be a pretty good date night!!! Followed possibly by drinks downtown somewhere. 🙂
My daughter found tickets last year to play-off games & yeah we were hooked! we went to the Press Box & then to the game. We bought tickets a couple of times because it’s in your face hockey, lots of families & fun ! So yeah we want to go again!!!!
My girlfriend and I at a hockey game. She’s downing a beer or two, yelling at the refs and cheering for the home team while I just sit there watching her with a smile on my face.
My ideal date night would be at a hockey game!
My ideal date night would be to go for snacks, then to a pro hockey game (I’ve only been to one, ever!), and out for dinner.
Finish off with a long walk downtown with my sweetie afterwards.
My ideal “date night†experience would be meeting someone awesome and not a weirdo (like I have been seeing lately).
I would *love* to give this to my friends who have a young baby as a fabulous night out together. They have been the best and most supportive friends since I moved here 6 years ago, and I’d love to give them a wonderful treat like this!!
And my ideal date? I’d say much like Vanessa’s hope (the post above) – a date with a normal person would be pretty epic.
My ideal date night? Spending time with my boyfriend, because he makes everything fun 🙂
oh oh oh…just met a lovely lady that is a HUGE hockey fan and what better first date this would be….love to win it and shine 🙂
My ideal date night would invovle dinner and a nice stroll, preferably in an exotic location….maybe Hawaii?
My ideal date night would be: a delicious dinner out in a tasteful and quiet place followed by a walk home in the crisp, cool, autumn air.
I love you Anthony:)
My ideal date would be a picnic in the park complete with wine, cheese, dry spicy chorizo, and crackers. Then…let’s go to the planetarium! Super fun!
An ideal date night lately is anything with the hubby. He is at school right now so we are on a budget and limited with time as he is always in the library!
It is going to be this way for the next 4 years of my life :p
Dinner, hot chocolate and a fun movie!
hole in the wall restaurant, frozen yogurt, then a walk on the beach !
My favourite place for Date Night is Raw Canvas in Yaletown – such a unique place to relax and be creative with your honey 🙂
My ideal date night is drinking wine and watching MadMen!
My girlfriend and I have been on many date nights to watch the Giants, it’s a tradition!
Definitely some hard-hitting hockey and beer.
I’d love to see the Giant’s play! I’ve never seen them before. My boyfriend and I are both really into hockey, and this would make an ideal date for us! We went on a Date Night to the Canucks for Christmas last year, and I’d love to have a similar experience!
Burgers and beer at a brew pub, a hockey game and then some gooey, chocolately goodness for dessert before heading home.
How bout a Motorcycle Chase through Vancouver, followed by Sunset on Spanish Banks and Gelato @ Yaletown Gelato!
That’s what my boyfriend and I get up to on Summer Nights!
ideal date..watching the canucks game if shes into hockey..then eat/drink at a pub later !
ideal date – a lot of free time in a cozy cabin by the ocean with a fireplace
My ideal “date night” would be a nice dinner out then something fun afterward, like a giants game!
