ComedyFest Vancouver Encore with Jon Dore
byWhile ComedyFest Vancouver has wrapped up for another year they have one more event happening this week. Comedian Jon Dore will be performing encore shows tomorrow at The Cultch and Friday at Lafflines.
Comedian Jon Dore on Q with Jian Ghomeshi
Over the last few years he has made a name for himself on TV, as the comedic relief on CTV’s Canadian Idol, reporting on the pressures and excitement of the contest with his unique brand of humour. Shortly after, and much to the delight of his fans across the country, Jon created The Jon Dore Television Show, for The Comedy Network and is now airing on IFC in the US.
Jon has appeared on his own Comedy Now! special for CTV and The Comedy Network, on Comedy Central’s Live At Gotham, Comedy Central Presents…Jon Dore and on CBS’ How I met Your Mother. An incredibly talented actor and comedian, Jon has been hailed by TV Guide as one of Canada’s top “rising stars of the futureâ€, and was on Variety’s Top Ten Comic’s To Watch in 2009.
Not only is live comedy simply the best in Vancouver, this is a chance to see a rising Canadian star in two intimate venues.
I have a pair of tickets for each encore show to give away. You can either enter to win by leaving a comment on this post listing the date you would like to see Jon (Thursday or Friday), or posting the following on Twitter:
I will draw the winners tonight at 5:00pm.
