Vancouver Giants 2010 Home Opener

The Vancouver Giants are celebrating their 10th anniversary as they open up their season against the Chilliwack Bruins next week.

The Giants have come a long way in 10 years, winning the Memorial Cup in 2007, placing 3rd in 2006, being the Western Conference champions in 2006 and 2007, and finishing first in the regular season in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

With tickets starting at just $18 it’s definitely one of the best entertainment values in Vancouver, making it affordable for families and friends to enjoy some fantastic hockey played with a whole lot of heart.

Special events happening this season include:

      I took my daughter to a game last year, as her school is where Milan Lucic went to elementary. The school gave them to every student for a family night out.

      His family still lives in the neighbourhood, which is pretty cool.

      The only Giants game I’ve ever been to was a BLAST. If you’ve never been I encourage you all to go. Much cheaper than the pricey Canucks tix as well.

      Being a Canucks ticket holder I just don’t make it over to the Coliseum enough…although I do try to do it once a year. Maybe next week will be the night!

      Always a great time, great hockey, very cool crowd and the nostalgia of the 90’s! Memories of making trips from Hope to watch playoff games are something that I often think about… especially in ’94 against Calgary and game 4 and 6 of the Finals!
