IMC 2010 Keynote with Guy Kawasaki, Win Tickets

Comments 49 by Rebecca Bollwitt

The annual Internet Marketing Conference is happening in Vancouver next week featuring keynote speaker, Guy Kawasaki. I liveblogged several sessions at the IMC in 2008 and found that they were a great group of people who recognized the importance of social media in today’s marketing landscape.

The two-day conference at the Four Seasons Hotel downtown will feature a keynote from silicon valley venture capitalist and author Guy Kawasaki.

He is the founder of Alltop.com, where you can find feeds from the top sites in the world listed in practically any category imaginable. Kawasaki is also a legend in the marketing world for being the man behind Apple’s 1984 Macintosh campaign.

His keynote will be based on his new book, Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions.

I have a ticket to give away for Guy Kawasaki’s keynote at 9:00am on September 23rd. This ticket for Day 3 of the Internet Marketing Conference is worth $595.

Here’s how you can enter to win:

Vancouver needs more of these types of conferences/workshops to ensure this city’s marketing and IT professionals remain competitive and ensure we are utilizing technology for business as effectively as possible.

I’d like to hear Guy speak for a number of reasons: 1, to find out where he see’s convergance of brand and social media, 2, to connect with fellow marketers on topic and 3, to gain insights on how to enhance guest experience in planning for BCAIM conference this fall (getcontagious.com)

Guy Kawasaki tweeted me once, and it was the single greatest moment of my life, which could only be topped if I win tickets to see him in the flesh at IMC 2010 from Miss 604! Obviously, I’m exaggerating a little, but the guy does have some pretty great headlines, and as a copywriter, I truly appreciate that skill.

    20. Jose UzcateguiThursday, September 16th, 2010 — 5:05pm PDT

Indeed, good job IMC Vancouver for bringing Guy. He’s a great speaker.

For those of you going or not to IMC Vancouver, feel free to drop by the SEM Meetup, which is going to be held at the Four Season’s as part of the official IMC Vancouver event.

It’s free and you don’t have to be an IMC attendee to be there. Here’s the link to RSVP: http://www.meetup.com/VancouverSEM/calendar/14694619/

Perhaps Guy will be there too?

Yes, I’d like to go. Come on random picker! My number is up.

    47. HayleySunday, September 19th, 2010 — 11:37pm PDT

It’s not a matter of being there for the sake of being there.

I want to go because I want to be inspired.

I once attended a teacher’s conference where an Olympic Medalist was a key-note speaker back in 2008… It pushed me to grow both mentally and psychologically. My work-ethics wouldn’t be where it is today without that key-note speaker.

I absorb information like a sponge so it’s not as if the opportunity of sending me there would be wasted. 🙂

      Help me grow!

    48. Meet Mark Victor HansenMonday, September 20th, 2010 — 8:09am PDT

Has the winning number been picked yet?

    49. NavidaTuesday, September 28th, 2010 — 3:44pm PDT
