This weekend Tom Lee Music on Granville is celebrating the grand opening of their Next Level Learning Centre, an artist development centre in the heart of downtown.

“Our mission is to always support local music-making, and the new school embodies that – the Next Level Learning Centre is a resource for DIY artists, with classes in songwriting, performance, marketing, recording and more.”

Their course and program offerings will include songwriting, software recording, performing, music & business marketing, DJ instruction and ‘Tour Bus Saturdays’ which will be a one-day workshop.

The grand opening event will be Saturday July 24th from 10:00am until 5:00pm (at Tom Lee, 929 Granville). They will be hosting meet and greets with the instructors (who have plenty of professional experience in the music business), tours of the facility, live music, and giveaways.

Tom Lee has also offered up a prize pack to one of my readers, including a t-shirt and some other swag. If you attend the event tomorrow please leave a comment on this post or @Miss604 on Twitter and you’ll be entered to win. I’ll do a draw from all entries on Monday morning.
