The Uptown CCMA Blogger Gift Lounge
byThe Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA’s) are coming to Vancouver and we need some bloggers to help capture the events of this star-studded evening. I will be in the exclusive, invitation-only Gift Lounge at GM Place on September 13th thanks to the Uptown Giftbox Company and I’m looking for a small group of bloggers to join me.
As the official producer of this backstage party Gabrielle Durning, the driving force behind this West Coast company, has created the hottest ticket in town. The selected bloggers will have access to the lounge where there will be food, entertainment, on-site services, and tons of swag. There is a long list of VIP invites for artists, musicians (like Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and the Awards host Jason Priestley) and media that will be stopping by as well. Bloggers will be stationed in the gift lounge to live blog, take photos, Tweet, and share the experience through social media.
The best part is that once the ceremonies wrap up, each blogger will be able to leave with their own Uptown Giftbox prize pack which they can donate to the approved charity of their choice.
So far this year I have liveblogged everything from the opera to the Juno Awards so this should be another exciting event to be a part of — and I can even give a little bit back to a local cause while I’m at it. The one and only Erica Ehm will also be the official host of the Lounge and I was lucky enough to hang out with her for a bit at a Tweetup a few months ago.
To be considered for one of the Uptown CCMA Blogger Lounge positions, you simply need to write a blog post on your own site mentioning this offer. Please link back here to ensure we can see your entry and also include a link to Uptown Giftbox who will be running the gift lounge. We’ll select the team for the CCMA Blogger Lounge on Wednesday September 9th.
Update: The bloggers who will join me in the lounge are Heather, Erin, Kristi, Cole, and Stimuli e-Mag.

[…] top off all this excitement, I just read on local Vancouver-blogger Miss 604’s site that she is looking for other bloggers to join her in […]
get that allan cole roberts to be one of your local bloggers . he takes kick ass pictures and is an excellent writer !!
I think Allan Cole Roberts would be perfect for this. Takes awesome pictures and is an engaging and talented writer/blogger. He’s a good old fashioned Canadian country boy too.
You can call me Sasso. Im From Vancouver but a bit of a traveller and the best way for me to stay in touch with ‘The Couv’ is through my best mates website…. and long story short he would be PERFECT for this. Check out his blog. http://www.allancoleroberts.com Hes not one of these jump around the bush bloggers out there. He says it like it is as it should be said. I’d like to think I taught him that. Aaaanyways……….
This is my simple version of Cole. He’s from good ‘ol 100 Mile House, so he obviously appreciates Country Music like no other. More or less a country boy done good. We’ve lived on a boat together…that I might add didn’t even work. Thats another story. The genius of a man has a Masters in Business from Sweden no less. Also this long locked brunette is also fluent in Swedish which I think is his 3rd language he has mastered. Before that he played junior hockey for 5 years like any good Canadian kid would do and last but not least the exposure from this would help to raise money for this charity ….. http://www.aaronmoser.com for spinal chord research. Now I could go on and on about the rodeos he’s been in and the hunting he enjoys. Lets just say Country and Cole go hand in hand. Basically VOTE FOR COLE. It would be rude not to!
I’m all over this, Rebecca!
Are you kidding??? THE only person you need for this event is COLE!!! He’s brilliant at everything he does! Don’t believe me? Check out his blog and I’m sure you will agree!!! http://allancoleroberts.com
Let me tell you a little story about Cole Roberts, the man, the myth, the legend – and the mind behind http://www.allancoleroberts.com
after hearing this story there will be no doubt that the lad should be a part of the CCMA’s
i dunno exactly what the criteria for a blogger at the CCMA’s are…but ill tell ya what they damn sure should be! I’ll also tell ya that Cole Roberts fills everyone of them. Now if the awards are about country music, then shouldnt any blogger bloggin’ about them also be country? hell ya. and what is country? well there may be several opinions about this so im gonna side with the model put forth by country singer Trace Adkins. According to Mr. Adkins, there are 5 features to a country feller: he’s not afraid to fight, likes cold beer, drives a beater of a vehicle, has a good head on his shoulders, and is from the country
now you just sit there and let me tell ya, from my own personal experiences with the guy, why ol’ coler is all of the above. first off, i played jr hockey will cole who, in his playing days, was a darcy tucker/sean avery type character. one game we had in Penticton, BC, wasnt exactly going in our favor. After a goal by the opposition, Cole took the puck out of our net and shot it at the guy who scored. 3 guys jumped cole for that. i had to pull of 2 of ’em…cole took care of the third.
2nd. cold beer. cole drinks it. ive seen him drink it sitting, standing, standing upside down, at home, in a pub, on a boat in the water, and on a boat on land.
3rd. anyone who has been on a trip with coler in his jeep from vancouver up the sea-to-sky to whistler will agree cole fulfills this criteria
4rth. despite the preceeding, cole is as bright as the 2010 vancouver olympic torch. the fella has a masters degree from the Umea University in Sweden. Ive been there with him…we had a fika there in the coffee house (if you dont know what a fika is, why check out http://www.allancoleroberts.com and find out)
and last but not least, where do you suppose ol’ coler is from. well, he’s from a REALLY small town way out in the country. the town is so small it doesnt even have a name! they just name it after how far it is from the nearest country town: Lilloet. Its 100 miles from Lilloet to be exact. so they call it 100 mile house. now its not 100 miles driving…its 100 miles the way the crow flies. now thats far out in the country. but i tell ya what, its got great fly fishing in the spring, and solid ice fishing all winter long
so there ya have it. i have clearly demonstrated how you will not find another person who is better suited for the CCMA’s.
I’m so entering! 🙂
If they want a live tweeter instead I would be interested.
Cole would be absolutely perfect for this! I’m certain he’d do a great job, as he’s probably the most devoted blogger there is. He’s your man!!!
Allan Cole Roberts would be the perfect person for the job….he has amazing talent with his camera……his writing skills are also truly brilliant….and he loves country music…..what more could you ask for
