California Wine Fair Contest
byUpdate February 28, 2009: The winner has been drawn and it is Michelle (3rd commenter) – thanks for participating!
The California Wine Fair is coming to Vancouver and thanks to the good folks at the Arts Club Theatre Company I’ll be giving away two tickets to this fabulous ballroom event happening March 3rd at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre.
Now in its 29th year of touring across Canada, the 2009 California Wine Fair Ballroom Tasting boasts 350 wines from 100 wineries throughout the Golden State. Under one roof, the range of wines include products currently available in the market to new vintages and varietals that have yet to be released in the Canadian market.
600 guests sample wines, and bid on silent auction items including many of the hard-to-find wines featured at the tasting.
To enter to win two tickets (valued at $60 each) leave a comment below listing the name of a 2008-2009 Arts Club Theatre production (if you need some help, check their site or any of my reviews from the Arts Club).
As always, if you have a blog and write about this contest on your site (also mentioning an Arts Club production) you will get a bonus entry. Best of luck everyone!
I will draw the winner on Friday February 27, 2009 & winners must be 19+

The Real Thing
I would love, love, love to watch Les Mis, the 2008-2009 Arts Club season finale but may be resigned to just reading (and finishing) the book instead….
How about Altar Boyz? 🙂
I would love to see the theater version of Doubt.
LES MISÉRABLES
Playing from May 14 – July 19, 2009 @ Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage
🙂
Homechild. I really hope that I can attend this wine fair since the 3rd is my 2nd anniversary with my beautiful fiance. We’ve went to some great tastings, one at the Bard, another Cal tasting last year, and a trip to Russian River. It would only be fitting for us to celebrate the day we met with some more great wine.
I am super excited to see Les Miserables in such an intimate theatre. I’m also very keen to see what the Arts Club does with Altar Boyz. Keep up the great work on the blog!
Les Miserables at the Stanley or Altar Boyz at Granville Island!
Me loves me the Californian wine… I’ll blog about this, for sure! Thanks for putting this contest, Rebecca!
The Constant Wife — we went to see it last week at the Stanley, and it was excellent.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Stanley. Les Miserables should be great.
Les Mis is coming *happydance*, but I recall when they had “Singin in the Rain” a few years ago – fantastic production!
I need to get my blog up and running so I can get another entry 😛
Les Miserables is the production that comes to mind I have yet to see. I love California wine, especially anything from Fetzer Vineyards.
Les Miserable at the Stanley!!!
HEre’s to wine, my second blood;)
I’ll say (not surprisingly) Altar Boyz?
Age of Arousal – sounds saucy!
THE CONSTANT WIFE. Came, watched, liked it. Thank you 🙂

Would be fun to see Altar Boyz with News1130’s Jeremy Crittenden.
But even more fun would be a pair of tickets to the California Wine Fair of course…
Altar Boyz!

The Constant Wife is one that looks good

Hi, so I ended up going to the wine tasting tonight and I’m glad I did. I do have some complaints about it though. They ran out of bread and crackers in the first hour, which is much more important than cheese and fruit. It seemed like the event was a follow up to the industry event earlier in the day. I was looking forward to trying both Stag’s Leap and Stags’ Leap and both were out by the time I got there. People were a little pushier than last year when I went to the industry tasting. On a good note I tried some great wines and had a good time. Thanks for letting us know about it.
