It’s been a while since I shared some link love for fellow local bloggers, and since I’ve recently met a bunch at the SuperHappyDevHouse, I thought it was time for a blog roundup.
Going back a bit here, Corinna and I were talking around the time the Leafs got bumped fantastically from the playoffs by the Islanders. She told me she had a Leafs jersey and knowing one of her favourite pastimes I suggested she wear it out the next time she went golfing thinking hilarity would ensue. You can read her post about the Pitch n’ Putt experience over on her blog, GusGreeper.com.
John found the latest Vanmega Mix Tape and played it the other day, all I have to say is that if I go the rest of my life without hearing Ace of Base, I’ll be a pretty happy girl.
Seasoned runner Wynne rates various marathons, races and runs based on everything from their t-shirts to photography.
Like the participant t-shirts. Why the unisex t-shirts? They simply do not fit me. My extra-small is so large it’s not comfortable to sleep in; I am bringing it home for one of my parents. It’s not to the organization’s advantage if the runners aren’t wearing the t-shirt out for training runs and advertising the event. [EverythingIsConnected]
This being not just a Vancouver blog, the word from Tara in Port Coquitlam is pretty disapointing when it comes to the City’s eco-awareness or lack thereof…
I can’t believe that I am having such a problem trying to get a recycling container and pick up service where the service already exists…. I have even offered to pay for one and still no luck. This goes to show that much more awareness is needed when it comes to protecting our planet. [Chillaxin]
Also, if you’re a Matt Good fan and are anxiously awaiting more glimpses of his forthcoming album Hospital Music, you’re in luck. Matt’s released one tune on a Myspace specifically for the album [HospitalFacilities], a track list and I’m sure there’s more to come.
And since yesterday was Mother’s Day, I have to mention Dan, who gave the biggest shout out to his mom when he was visiting Seattle – his details from Flickr are below.
