John told me yesterday that Apple was going to have some fancy swanky announcements today. He’s just given me the scoop, saying “that’s some hot sh*t” and being altogether way too excited, but with good reason.
Tiny, 1.62 inch iPod shuffles and multi-coloured 8gb Nanos (for starters) [apple]. I’m sure he’ll be posting a big lovely in-depth post about all the new products but I just had to gush (and post here in case Gus hasn’t heard yet).
Something else I’m excited about is Earlstone’s Club and their menu courtesy of onomatopoeia (too funny)

The new iPod shuffle is beautiful (from the pics) but still so… useless? Never liked the “Life is Random” tagline.
(I can imagine current Shuffle owners going, “Doh!” because of the radical re-design that makes theirs so dated-looking now.)
Just a note that though the Nano does come in 8GB, the 8GB – it was mentioned somewhere – will only come in black. For colour, need to get the smaller capacity.
