I did things to my Yucca this morning [wiki]. We have one plant in the house (thanks to Tanya) and his name is Oscar (I think thanks to Russ). I’ve had him for almost a year and I think he’s doing okay – although I had to look up some things on the weebernet this morning in regards to a lil discolouration on his leaves. Stinkin Leafs.
It was a gorgeous day so we headed out for a walk and took some pictures along the way. Camera phone pics are up on Flickr, we’re too tired (after walking around for 6 hours) to sort though the digi cam shots so those will be up later. Remember, it’s not Fall yet (although some would lead you to believe otherwise [BR1][BR2]).

Autumn in Vancouver is nothing compared to the technicolor displays of New England, but the sights and smells of the encroaching season are something to looking forward to. However with more days like today – 18 degrees, sun, warm, fresh air, ocean breezes – don’t be too haste in kissing summer goodbye.

I used to have a cactus named Elvis. He died from lack of maintenance. Good luck with Oscar.
