springtime hockey update

Comments 2 by Rebecca Bollwitt
The Oilers are 1 win away from sweeping the Anaheim Ducks (they won’t be Mighty next season). This means they could potentially win the West and go on to the Stanley Cup Finals. Oh boy :-/

lots of hockey action still going on around the world as well. Sweden took the World Cup – leaving Canada in the dust (not even finishing with a medal). The Giants stay alive at the Memorial Cup yesterday – after losing their first games, they defeated Peterborough 3-2. Canucks’ ex-coach Marc Crawford has gone to the LA Kings and Sutter has given our organization the cold-shoulder. We’re now looking at Vigneault – current head coach of the Manitoba Moose. Although it’s still not 100% clear whether or not he’s taking the position.

For more hockey updates and info, check out Hockey Northwest for some op-ed podcasts, Vancouver Canucks Op-Ed for some amusing ‘live blogging’ game coverage, and of course Sportsnet’s playoff tracker. Or you know, feel free to check back soon for another springtime hockey update :p
