This will be the FIRST year ever that i won’t have a live tree – they’re not allowed in the building. Every year when I was growing up we’d get a live tree. Sometimes one with roots and all. we’d plant it in the yard when the season was over and dig it up and bring it in each year after that until it was too big – then we’d just leave it in the yard. if we got a cut tree, we had to get a ‘natural’ tree. one that wasn’t groomed or clipped to look like a typical christmas tree shape. i have to say, even though they were sometimes very bare, non-symetrical and scrawny… i couldn’t imaging having anything less beautiful.
i’d like to watch Home Alone. it’s become a holiday staple – gets ya in the mood for christmas (and getting paint cans in the face) ya know? We got A Christmas Story (special fancy edition) on DVD just a lil while ago and i’m looking to get a copy of A Child’s Christmas in Wales. That one’s got a special place in my heart and I can probably recite it to you as well as I could Forrest Gump (yeah…I’m THAT nerdy)… We swiped a copy of Garfield’s holiday DVD – hehe Doc Boy! we’ll have to watch that this week. I’m getting all spirited up for Christmas…the past couple years I haven’t really…it could just be the weather…could be many things…I’m not sure. But I do know that I gotta watch Rudolph (with the Bumble and the misfit toys) and Christmas Comes but Once a Year (while singing along and dancing). Lolo’s looking for a copy of the Muppets Family Christmas (not to be confused with the Muppet Christmas Carol) but she’s not having much luck…
There’s one of these in our lobby now….I could fit in it 😐
